SUO MOTU DISCLOSURE IN RESPECT OF DIRECTORATE OF ELECTION
1. As per Section 4(1)(b)(i) of the RTIAct, 2005
Functions and duties oftheElection Department.
The Election Department is in charge of conducting Mizoram Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. They are in touch with the Election Commission of India and are responsible for all necessary arrangements for the elections. Roll revision is conducted annually to add and remove electors from the electoral rolls.

Dealing with files relating to all matters under the supervision of superintendent. |

He assists the Programmer in all respects. |

Distribution of Daks issued by the department or any other works entrusted to them by the Superintendent & other higher authorities. |
3. As per Section 4(1)(b)(iii) of the RTIAct, 2005
= All decisions are made at Chief Electoral Officer level and at times at Joint Chief Electoral Officer level according to their importance.

=All decisions are made through collective endeavors via step-by-step movement of files.

= Various rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and handbooks are issued by the ECI as well as the department in connection with the conduct of election.
